BMP Weekend Event
A BMP Weekend Event would be nice for those players who didnt get the BMP, ill give you some of the reasons:
- A chance to better know the stories of the characters (Togo, Gwen, etc)
- A chance to get weaponds that are not for sale/trade
Post your toughts, thank you ^^

You know there's really very little in the BMP itself...the main thing is the weapons you can acquire, which for fairness shouldn't be obtainable in your event idea since it's just a backdoor way for people who never took up ANet's promotion to gain the pretty weapons.
Basically, you can complete the BMP missions in a couple of hours, and get a torrent of new weapons. It would basically be giving it away for free.
Dream on!

I don't know...they are pretty much giving Gwen away(for a weekend?), so it just might happen.

I find it hard to believe there will not be a second promotion, or a chance to purchase it at a later date. It is, after all, very popular and many people, due to their own greed or stupidity, missed out...If there's money to be made...

While me getting sick of seeing threads whining about BMP has pretty much killed my sympathy for the not-have's, I could still see this offered in a future promotion. As for a weekend, I can only imagine it wouldn't offer the weapon rewards because Anet wants those to be a special gift to the promotion participants. But of course, then nobody would play it if it was only for the sake of "having fun".

giving away gw:en? all it's happening this weekend is that ppl that BOUGHT gw:en can start playing gw:en at level10 instead of the old lvl20.
nothing is being given away
edit: u're right it's a playable weekend for ppl who dont have it aswell lol. sorry. anyway. bmp would be deeply played in few hours so no point in opening it even for a day for everyone

yes giving it away. it was sold under the 'lv 20 only area' pretense.
high level content to low level characters = giving it away.
they are even going as far as buffing low level characters...cheap.
/edit
and unless I read wrong...everyone will have access. not just people who bought it.

The way I read it, they are giving access to everyone this weekend only. Not sure if for those who do not have the full retail copy can access everything, but I think it is safe to say that they will get to access all the Norn areas at the least. (this is assuming that they can setup access like the preview weekend back in August)
For those who do have it, if they have a lvl 10 or higher, with this buff/armorer/weapon in the first outpost, they can now get into GW:EN sooner without being overwhelmed.

Gaile said in-game that this weekend would offer a 5-hour trial for non-GW:EN owners, and the buffs to low lvls would help more people take advantage of it. Not quite what I'd call a giveaway, and I imagine after that it'll be "lvl 20 only" again.

sure is a freebie unless the content/areas are limited.
when I paid for my trial I was limited to a few areas.
5 hours is almost too much, considering Gwen can be hammered out in around 2 hours.
-Sorry OP for the thread jack

If they ever do offer it again, it should only be as a promotional Item for in-game store purchases...that's what it was for those of us that got it.

Thing is, has many other players that dont have the BMP, we've spent more than €26/£17 buying the games, and maybe we didnt feel like spending that amount on character slots that we are not going to use, so BMP being part of the game, cause i didnt say it was an expansion like someone quoted, i think it would be nice for the rest of the players to have a second chance to get it.

I have it and I feel right now A-net should only figure a way to give it to those that have everything already, loyalty should have counted. Later make it availabe for purchase, ie mini transactions $2-4 per mission would be fair, considering the ease of obtaining very nice weapons to all your characters and a @9k boon to your account for said mission.

That's not a bad idea, cause in my case i already had all GW games and expansion when this promotion came, and yes, loyalty SHOULD count.

so you had to spend $30 to access it, but you're saying it's fair for others to only have to spend less than half that?
